Scott Slovic

Scott Slovic is a senior scientist at the Oregon Research Institute and a distinguished professor of environmental humanities emeritus at the University of Idaho. His many publications include the books Seeking Awareness in American Nature Writing: Henry Thoreau, Edward Abbey, Annie Dillard, Wendell Berry, Barry Lopez (1992) and Going Away to Think: Engagement, Retreat, and Ecocritical Responsibility (2008). He was the founding president of the Association for the Study of Literature and Environment in the early 1990s. He lives in Eugene, Oregon.
