RJ Marx
R.J. Marx is an author, editor and independent journalist.
As reporter and editor for The Record-Review in Westchester County, New York, he won numerous awards for his journalism, including the New York Press Association’s awards for best community newspaper.
In 2015, Marx relocated to the Oregon Coast as editor of the Seaside Signal and Cannon Beach Gazette. He retired in 2023.
His history, “Seaside’s Rock ‘n’ Roll Riots 1962-1964: How a Coastal City’s Labor Day Riots Herald a Decade of Unrest,” was published in 2024.
