Mathew Brock is the Mazama Library and Historical Collections Manager. Mathew holds a BA in Anthropology from the University of Alaska Southeast and a Master of Library and Information Science from the University of Washington. Before joining the Mazamas in 2015, Mathew was a Subsistence Resource Specialist with the Alaska Department of Fish and Game, Division of Subsistence.
The history of the Mazamas began in early 1894 when William Gladstone Steel and several Oregon Alpine Club members met to organize a new society.
