Tim Gibbons

A native Oregonian, Tim Gibbons graduated from the University of Oregon in 1983 and Northern Michigan University in 1992 with an M.S. in Exercise Science. He grew up skiing and racing across Oregon and the United States. As a ski coach, he worked at Middlebury and Dartmouth Colleges and the Mt. Bachelor Sports Education Foundation. As a sport physiologist with the U.S. Olympic Committee, he traveled extensively throughout North America and Europe and documented the developmental stages and markers of endurance athletes capable of achieving international competitive excellence. He was co-curator of the 2016 ski history exhibit, Winter Comes: Oregon’s Nordic Ski History, at the Deschutes Historical Museum in Bend, Oregon.
