Jerry Sutherland

Jerry Sutherland earned a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Portland State University in 1989, then spent most of his working years in technical sales. In retirement, he has researched lesser-known people and places in Oregon history at archival institutions across Oregon, the Hudson’s Bay Company Archives in Winnipeg, and NARA branches in DC, College Park, Seattle, and San Bruno. That led to the publication of Calvin Tibbets: Oregon’s First Pioneer in 2016, Bayocean: Atlantis of Oregon in 2023, and seventy-eight articles at www.bayocean.net since 2015.
