Laurie Dougherty

Laura Dougherty has taught for 27 years, grades 3-8 in Oregon public schools  and currently serves as a mentor program coordinator and secondary instructional coach for Seaside School District in Seaside, Oregon. She is president of the Oregon Council of Teachers of English and frequently presents at state and regional conferences. She has served on the Oregon Department of Education English Language Arts Content Panel, and as a member of the State Network of Educators. Collaborating with Oregon Education Association she wrote and facilitated an online course: Quality Performance Assessment for the ELA Classroom and several NEA online learning communities.
