James Masnov

James M. Masnov is an independent historian, writer, and lecturer. He earned his bachelor's degree in history at Western Oregon University and is a graduate student at Portland State University. His work can be found in a number of peer-review academic journals and he also routinely appears on various media outlets. Mr. Masnov's historical research often focuses on intellectual history, political theory, constitutional history, and American legal history. He also hosts and produces a history-related podcast, The Disabuse Podcast. Masnov is currently Vice Chair of the Historic Commission for the City of Monmouth. He lives in Monmouth, Oregon with his wife, Christina.
