Kelsey Doncaster

Kelsey Doncaster is the Northwest’s premier historian on irrigation. From 2008-2019 he was employed as Historian for the United States Bureau of Reclamation serving Washington, Oregon, Idaho and western Montana. He has given numerous presentations on Reclamation’s projects, dams, irrigation systems, and ditch rider housing, besides writing Historic American Engineering Records and National Register of Historic Places nominations. Kelsey received a Master of Science in Resource Management from Central Washington University, a Bachelor of Arts in History and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting from the University of Washington. Currently Kelsey Doncaster is a historic preservation consultant in the northwest.
