FIVE OREGON PARTNERS OF THE OREGON CULTURAL TRUST The Oregon Cultural Trust works hand-in-hand with statewide cultural organizations that share our interest in supporting culture across Oregon. These "Core Cultural Partners" receive a percentage of the funds distributed by the Trust each year to support the programs and services they provide across Oregon.The Partners are: Oregon Arts Commission, Oregon Historical Society, Oregon Council for the Humanities, Oregon Heritage Commission, State Historic Preservation Office.
OREGON CULTURAL TRUST The Oregon Cultural Trust is an innovative public-private partnership to support, stabilize and protect Oregon cultural resources - the arts, heritage and the humanities. Donors to the Trust receive a generous Oregon state tax credit.
OREGON COUNCIL OF TEACHERS OF ENGLISH The Oregon Council of Teachers of English (OCTE) aims to stimulate professional development and improve the quality of English language arts instruction at all educational levels. OCTE promotes research in the study and teaching of English language arts by participating in educational activities around the region.
OREGON HERITAGE COMMISSION The mission of the Oregon Heritage Commission is to secure, sustain, and enhance Oregon's heritage by ensuring: Coordination of heritage initiatives by public and private organizations; advocacy for all levels of support on its behalf, education of the public about its extent and value, promotion and celebration of its diversity. Established by the Oregon Legislature in 1995, the Heritage Commission is comprised of nine gubernatorial appointments and eight ex-officio members. The gubernatorial appointments each serve 4-year terms, and represent the geographic and cultural diversity of the state. The ex-officio commissioners represent the Oregon Historical Society, the Oregon State Library, the Oregon State Archives, the State Historic Preservation Office, the Oregon Department of Education, the Oregon Uniersity System, the Land Conservation and Development Department, and the Economic and Community Development Department.
OREGON COUNCIL FOR THE HUMANITIES the Oregon Council for the Humanities seeks to improve the quality of life for Oregonians by providing programs that enrich minds and broaden perspectives, foster positive human relationships, encourage civility and good citizenship, and bring together the diverse peoples who make up our statewide culture. OCH is an independent affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humaniites and is supported by gifts from the Oregon Cultural Trust and individuals and foundations throughout Oregon.
